Clinical, medical and diagnostics
Building on its industry-leading legacy in rheometry, Anton Paar has unveiled its next generation of modular compact rheometers (MCRs), setting new benchmarks for precision, speed, intelligence, and adaptability in material characterisation. It’s a new era in rheometry for the formulation of pharmaceutical and medical products, for both quality control and R&D.
The most precise rheometer: With minimum torque down to 0.2 nNm, the new MCR series enables viscosity measurement of your valuable low-viscosity protein samples even at the lowest volumes. With improved electronics and data acquisition, even the fastest UV-curing processes of hydrogels or dental composites can be monitored – opening the door to new experiments and maximising confidence in every data point.
The fastest rheometer: The new rheometer series boosts throughput for a faster return on investment. It has an unprecedented focus on productivity, with next-generation electronics delivering faster results, lightning-fast boot-up time, and one-handed measuring geometry coupling with QuickConnect. Even standard tests such as determining the yield stress of semisolids in accordance with USP <1912> can now be carried out faster and more efficiently than ever before.
The smartest rheometer: Intelligent automation streamlines complex analyses. An integrated touchscreen allows users to prepare directly at the instrument, Toolmaster automatically recognises accessories, and there are additional built-in safeguards such as electronic leveling. With RheoCompass software, you achieve the gold standard: the highest category of compliance with authority regulations – starting with 21 CFR Part 11 compliance and incorporating ALCOA++, GMP, and cGMP principles. The enhanced set of features provides further support, as well as fully compliant analytical workflows and data handling.
The most adaptable rheometer: A truly modular architecture supports the industry’s broadest accessory range and all major test modes – from powder rheometry and tribology testing of medical parts to syringe testing. Whatever samples you work with, there is a solution to meet your needs. Beyond this versatility, the Anton Paar MCR rheometer enables the simulation of real environmental conditions. Using the humidity chamber, you can replicate climate conditions, e.g., for powder storage in dry or humid environments and at both low and high temperatures.
At Anton Paar, customer success goes beyond the instrument itself. With a strong focus on long-term service and application support, we established the Rheo Academy to provide continuous learning and after-sales support, helping you get the most out of your rheometer and tackle real-world challenges with confidence. Designed for users at every experience level, the Rheo Academy is a comprehensive learning platform that unlocks the full potential of your instrument. It serves as a central hub for rheology knowledge, offering user-friendly books such as Applied Rheology, available in 12 languages. These resources are complemented by quick-start guides for immediate results, expert-led in-person seminars, as well as on-site visits that bring our expertise directly to you for face-to-face training.
