Kromasil, AkzoNobel’s global brand for chromatographic analysis and purification, supports users worldwide with prepacked HPLC, UHPLC and SFC columns according to scientists’ and engineers’ laboratory needs. The Kromasil slurry packed columns for analysis, with particle sizes from 1.8 to 5 µm, are well known internationally due to their long lifetime as well as the materials’ mechanical and chemical stability. Further, Kromasil columns are used with samples across all application groups including pharmaceutical, clinical, food and beverage, environmental and industrial substances.
The team delivering Kromasil products has been expanding the column portfolio for users to improve their sample turnaround when needed. Therefore, Kromasil columns are also available with small particles to achieve the most selectivity and resolution possible. With Kromasil 1.8 µm particle size columns, it is possible to achieve the best column efficiency on UHPLC systems. Kromasil columns with 2.5 µm particle size can be used on regular HPLC systems for maximised resolution and they will also fit in an UHPLC for improved efficiency. These are choices that researchers and analysts look for when there is a shortage of instruments in their facilities. Users can rest assured as Kromasil columns with 2.5 and 1.8 µm particle sizes are packed at pressures that withstand UHPLC instrumentation.
High performance chromatographic columns with small particles are available in many of the Kromasil product lines:
Kromasil is a fully back integrated manufacturer of totally spherical silica particles for high performance chromatography usage. Products are available as bare silica and also with various surface modifications for normal phase, reversed phase, chiral and supercritical fluid chromatography.
Kromasil columns and bulk materials are the result of more than 25 years of stationary phase expertise, delivering performance products to users in research, discovery, pilot plant and manufacturing environments.
