Enhanced bioluminescence imaging for real time cellular studies

AMSBIO has unveiled a ground-breaking range of pre-made Nano-Lantern lentivirus products, utilising a proprietary lentiviral vector system for remarkably sensitive and precise in vivo luminescence imaging.

This cutting-edge Nano-Lantern technology combines an enhanced Renilla-Luciferase with an Orange Fluorescent protein (OFP), offering significant advancements over traditional methods and poised to revolutionise in vivo imaging applications.

Unlike fluorescence imaging, which requires external excitation from laser light and comes with drawbacks such as autofluorescence, phototoxicity, and photobleaching, Nano-Lantern bioluminescence imaging uses a bioluminescence resonance energy transfer (BRET) approach to achieve substantially higher signal intensity. Moreover, it boasts an extremely low-level background signal, making it more sensitive and quantitative.

Nano-Lantern lentivirus products emit light in response to specific biological activities when linked to targeting proteins, allowing dynamic real-time visualisation in living organisms. With its enhanced signal intensity and minimal background noise, Nano-Lantern lentivirus provides bright and high-resolution imaging of small, rapidly moving subcellular structures.
