Refractometer Range Now Offers Enhanced Data Integrity 

In times of a constantly growing flood of data, requirements like data security and data integrity play essential roles, particularly for regulated pharmaceutical laboratories. Anton Paar offers two attractive solutions for improved data management of Abbemat refractometers to guarantee a high level of data integrity and usability - the Desktop Software for PC-controlled use and the Raw Data Viewer for data regeneration.

The operator controls the Abbemat refractometer externally via the Desktop Software. The whole 21 CFR Part 11 responsibility - user, system, and data administration - is managed in the software, not on the instrument. This significantly decreases the time needed to qualify the instrument itself. 

All data is automatically archived in the desktop database. The corresponding raw data can be backed up and restored on demand by standard IT processes, making all data available over a long retention period for audit and verification processes, even without the instrument.

With this Desktop Software, Anton Paar offers an all-in-one solution for the whole data processing, administration, and instrument control. There is no risk of data loss, even in case of an instrument breakdown.

The Raw Data Viewer software can be installed on the server/PC to regenerate all raw data that has ever been exported from the polarimeters or refractometers. Files are transferred to a network or PC via Anton Paar LIMS Bridge for automatic data archiving, collection, and administration, ensuring an enhanced storage capacity of the instrument.

All data is exported in a proprietary data format - encrypted and digitally signed. There is no possibility to manipulate the data, which guarantees long-term accessibility of all data during retention periods for audit and verification processes. With the Anton Paar Raw Data Viewer all data can be regenerated from machine-readable into human-readable format for verification purposes. Automatic checks verify the integrity - in case of changes the file verification will be rejected.
