Ion chromatography has become the method of choice for many applications. Sensitive as it is, correct results depend crucially on the correct use and maintenance of the IC instrument. To this end, Metrohm has published ‘IC Maintenance’, a new multimedia guide demonstrating users of Metrohm IC how to carry out essential maintenance work on their IC system by themselves. ‘IC Maintenance’ is free of charge and can be ordered from any Metrohm representation.

Short videos guide the users step by step how to perform maintenance work correctly on Metrohm IC systems. In this, the new multimedia guide takes a systematic approach. It starts with IC handling in general (cutting capillaries, PEEK pressure screws, starting the IC system), after which the maintenance of each functional component (Eluent, high-pressure pump, inline filters, injector, columns, etc.) is demonstrated. Information about correct liquid handling round off ‘IC Maintenance’ and FAQs and a glossary make the new multimedia guide very easy to use.

‘IC Maintenance’ is a must for anyone who wants to perform essential maintenance on his Metrohm IC by himself. Moreover it can be used as a tool in teaching IC maintenance to students. ‘IC Maintenance’ is available in English, German and Basic Chinese on a single CD and can be ordered free of charge from any Metrohm sales representation.
