Micronic BV, specialists in traceable sample storage solutions, have introduced Cryotube - a novel screw top tube range designed to ensure simple and high integrity storage of samples even at -180C - the vapour phase temperature of liquid nitrogen.

Manufactured in a modern class 7 clean room production facility - Cryotube's are certified RNase / DNase free and non-toxic, according to the USP class VI test, making them the ideal secure medium for storage of liquid or solid biological samples. Offering a volume of 1.1ml , 96 individual Cryotube's fit in a standard tube rack optimising use of valuable freezer storage space. The internal V-shape of each Cryotube ensures the lowest possible dead volume and maximum sample recovery.

Incorporating a novel 'single turn' screw cap mechanism - repetitive access to and high integrity closure of samples for cryopreservation is a simple and rapid process. With a unique 2-dimensional code (Tracker Data Matrix or TraXis system) on the bottom of each tube - Cryotube's provide an easy and unambiguous means of storing and identifying samples. Unique tube coding and compatibility with Micronic code reader's facilities easy integration of the new Cryotube range into automated high-throughput screening environments

Dedicated to the design and production of innovative sample storage tubes, accessories and instruments over the last 25 years, Micronic is uniquely able to offer laboratories the expert advice to help them safeguard one of its most valuable assets - its samples.
