CO2 Analysis Solution for Food & Beverage Industry
Jun 29 2011
PAC announces the launch of the new Antek R1140 Total Hydrocarbon Analyser, part of PAC’s TQACO2 complete analyser package. TQACO2 is a unique turn-key system with a single operating data system, for quality assurance of CO2 in primarily the food and beverage industries. The new R1140 replaces the R1040 analyser in the Process Analytics product portfolio.
In making the announcement, Lisa Houston, Director, Process Analytics & Elemental Analysis, stated: “Millions of dollars worth of beverages are unnecessarily discarded annually as a result of undetected contamination. The new R1140 Total Hydrocarbon Analyser, as part of the TQACO2 package, is the solution to preventing undetected sulphur, total and aromatic hydrocarbon, oxygen, and moisture contamination in carbon dioxide. Fast, precise, robust, and reliable, this analyser package can help prevent product losses, and preserve customer loyalty. ”Traditionally, sulphur in CO2 has been detected using a simple tape, stain tube, or ‘sniff’ test. But these tests are neither accurate nor reliable enough, and COS and other sulphur compounds are missed by tape and stain tube tests, resulting in product spoilage, waste, and loss of customer loyalty. PAC’s TQACO2 can detect contaminants in CO2 that traditional tape and stain tube tests can’t, and pay back its investment quickly in product savings and quality assurance. Additionally, gas suppliers and bulk CO2 users can now generate their own load report to show compliance with specifications with the R1140 and TQACO2 system.
