New Online Tool Identifies the Ideal Testing System Configuration
Feb 26 2020
Shimadzu has released its Testing Machine Configurator, an online tool that helps to research and identify the ideal testing system configuration according to the user’s requirements. The configurator is easy to apply: by providing the answers to a few goal-oriented questions, users can specify their customised testing system and request a proposal.
For over 100 years, Shimadzu has been adding know-how and experience to testing machines technology, providing a comprehensive portfolio of inspection systems and testing machines for laboratories in automotive, aerospace and a wide range of manufacturing industries. The systems are applied in quality control, quality assurance and research & development applications, providing consumer, user and product safety. Shimadzu’s family of materials testing & inspection solutions covers universal, fatigue, hardness, viscosity & flow testing as well as large structural material and impact testing.
The Testing Machine Configurator is self-explanatory and asks about materials to be tested, preferred testing methods, shape of specimen, mainframe capacity needed, necessary test temperature environment and the testing jig. The last step provides the frame selection, before a proposal can be requested by mouse-click.
The Testing Machine Configurator targets users who like to design a testing set-up configured to their own specific needs. Furthermore, it helps to identify the right system for users who are not sure about the best solution when it comes to materials tests such as tensile, compression, bending, shear and peeling tests, or to tests according to ISO and ASTM standards.
Independent of Shimadzu office hours worldwide, the Testing Machine Configurator gives access to solution-oriented information. With this online tool, users can specify their needs, pre-select their systems of choice and speed up the purchasing decision process. It promotes efficiency on both sides, both marketer and purchaser requirements.
