The Nova Microcinerator from Zisys Ltd, is designed to sterilise metal inoculating loops and needles without using an open flame thereby eliminating aerosaling of micro-organisms.

The infrared heat is safer than traditional bunsen burners as it requires no gas to operate. The cast aluminium tripod base design and suction cup feet ensure the units stability. After reaching its optimum sterilisation temeperature of 815 deg C (1,500 deg F), the loop or needle is sterilised in 5-7 seconds.
No need to wait until the loop or needle turns red. The heating element is protected by a perforated stainless steel cowl and convenient storage for up to 6 loops is provided on the base of the unit.
Unlike other models with fixed burner assemblies, the Nova heating element can be adjusted to multiple positions which reduces hand fatigue by allowing the user to access the burner from a comfortable angle of entry.
