27 Feb, 2025

Sapio Sciences, a leading provider of lab informatics solutions, has announced that LabConnect, a global leader in central laboratory services, has chosen Sapio LIMS (Laboratory Information Management System) to modernise its research workflows, optimise sample tracking, and improve data integrity.

LabConnect works with biopharmaceutical companies and clinical research organisations (CROs) to accelerate drug development, managing and tracking thousands of samples across multiple laboratories. To streamline these processes and ensure seamless operations, LabConnect selected Sapio LIMS as a scalable, flexible, and robust solution tailored to its complex needs.

By adopting Sapio’s configurable platform, LabConnect will automate workflows, reducing manual processes and increasing operational efficiency. The integration of Sapio LIMS will also enhance data accuracy by minimising silos and transcription errors while ensuring compliance with GMP and GLP standards. Additionally, Sapio’s AI-driven tools will enable natural language data management, further accelerating research and discovery.

Dan Tyner, interim CIO at LabConnect, emphasised the impact of this partnership: “Our collaboration with Sapio Sciences marks a significant step in transforming our digital laboratory infrastructure. By leveraging their science-aware platform, we will dramatically enhance our data management capabilities, ensuring faster and more accurate clinical research support.”

Mike McCartney, Chief Commercial Officer at Sapio Sciences, highlighted the advantages of the integration: “LabConnect operates in a highly complex and demanding environment that requires both precision and adaptability. Sapio LIMS is designed to meet these challenges by consolidating systems and optimising workflows, ultimately enhancing LabConnect’s service delivery and operational efficiency.”
