Efficient transition between manual and automated pipetting

14 Oct, 2024

Eppendorf introduces its latest innovation, the epMotion® 96 Flex, a state-of-the-art 96-channel liquid handling system designed to bridge the gap between handheld electronic pipettes and fully automated systems. The epMotion® 96 Flex significantly enhances efficiency and throughput when compared to manual pipetting, while also offering a cost-effective alternative to full-scale automation, with a compact footprint perfect for any lab bench.

The epMotion® 96 Flex is equipped with interchangeable dispensing heads, allowing seamless adaptation to various volume requirements. At launch, two heads are available, covering volume ranges from 0.5 to 300 μL and 5 to 1000 μL. These heads can be easily swapped without the need for tools, enabling quick transitions for different applications.

With its intuitive touchscreen interface and ergonomically positioned interaction points, the epMotion® 96 Flex ensures user-friendly, precise operation. Its compact design allows it to be used within biosafety cabinets, making it an ideal solution for space-conscious laboratories.

Calibrated according to the new ISO 23783-2 standard, the epMotion® 96 Flex delivers exceptional pipetting accuracy and precision. Additionally, it can act as a valuable addition to larger automated systems, serving as a 'Feeder' to prepare plates for further automated processes.

Versatile and efficient, the epMotion® 96 Flex adapts seamlessly to a wide range of applications, from molecular biology to cell culture, providing an optimal solution for both manual and automated workflows.
