AP Spectroscopy Suite update simplifies quantification and routine lab workflows

05 Jul, 2026

Anton Paar continues to expand AP Spectroscopy Suite with new capabilities designed to simplify routine Raman and FTIR analysis. The latest version of the software – which operates Anton Paar’s Raman and FTIR instruments from one PC-based platform – now offers extended quantification, improved workflow efficiency, and enhanced pharma compliance support for QC laboratories in 21 CFR Part 11 and GxP-regulated environments.

“We’re continuously refining AP Spectroscopy Suite around the realities of modern laboratory work, where faster setup, lower training effort, clearer reporting, and reliable compliance support all matter,” says Dr. Thomas Hahn, Product Manager at Anton Paar. “The latest enhancements help laboratories standardise workflows, reduce manual effort, and turn spectroscopy into a more scalable routine process.”

Users can now move to routine quantification procedures in a guided workflow, by creating linear quantification models from reference data, evaluating the resulting regression, and converting models directly into approved methods. This reduces the gap between model creation and routine use, supporting laboratories in turning reference data into standardised, reproducible workflows more quickly.

The latest update also strengthens routine workflow efficiency by helping users prepare analytical methods more flexibly and work with greater confidence. This keeps analysis consistent, helping to reduce friction in daily work without adding unnecessary overhead. Reporting has also been improved: Identification and verification reports now begin with an overview table for quick assessment, and PDF export of analysis sessions is around 30 % faster.

For regulated environments, AP Spectroscopy Suite supports 21 CFR Part 11 and GxP-compliant workflows, with functionality for data integrity, traceability, electronic signatures, and audit readiness. AP Spectroscopy Suite Premium extends this with a new ATR pharmacopoeia check for single-bounce ATR cells, in line with European Pharmacopoeia 2.2.24 requirements.
