Hellma have extended their comprehensive range of spectrophotometer cuvettes by the addition of two new flow-through versions. They advise that these are ideal for tablet dissolution, automated continuous flow, segmented flow, and general spectroscopy applications; covering clinical chemistry, biochemistry, pharmaceuticals, food and drink, environmental analysis and many other areas.

Hellma claim that the unique three-in-one design of their new all-quartz flow-through cuvette enables two optical path lengths to be selected by simply turning it through 90 degrees; as well as the possibility to make fluorimetric analyses.

Using new technology, that enables precise internal threads to be cut directly into the quartz, means no metal frame or other materials are required; ensuring leak free operation and compatibility with a wider range of aggressive samples. Hellma noted that this also makes it easier to clean as well as giving the user the ability to autoclave it if necessary.
