Low-field NMR Instrument for Complex Nanoparticle Suspensions Characterisation

Mageleka Inc is a new scientific instrumentation company focused on the analysis and characterisation of complex, multi-component nanoparticle suspensions. The company was founded by a group of entrepreneurs with many years experience in industry, academe and the development of analytical instrumentation. The first device, the Magnometer XRS, is based on low-field nuclear magnetic resonance and is now available. It has the ability to differentiate between similar samples made from the same materials making it ideal for quality control. Applications include batch-to-batch reproducibility in a manufacturing environment and raw materials control. The technique is simple to use and does not require sample preparation with most measurements performed in under 2 minutes. Customers include catalyst companies, pharmaceutical and personal health care providers as the instrument expands its use into other operations.
