One Powerful System for Multiple Imaging Applications!

Sep 09 2009

The BioSpectrum Imaging System from UVP enables superior imaging for chemiluminescence, bioluminescence, fluorescence and colorimetric applications. The system offers speed, sensitivity and accuracy for performing image capture and analysis of blots, plates, gels and other samples. Entirely automated darkroom with motorized sample illuminator platform and motorized lens configurations enable users to maximize the imaging functions. Motorized lenses are available in several fixed focal length and zoom types. Select from several high resolution, high sensitivity CCD cameras including cooled CCD cameras for applications such as detection of proteins in chemiluminescence Western blots. Detect femtogram levels of proteins with sensitivity and accuracy.

The light tight darkroom creates optimum imaging conditions and is fully automated and controlled via the VisionWorks®LS software. The darkroom features a height adjustable, motorized sample platform, five-position filter array, epi UV and white light, unique sample viewing window, chemi tray, transilluminator on easy access roll-out tray and uniform white light plate for viewing Coomassie blue or Silver stained gels. Select from several patented and unique transilluminators including the FirstLight Illuminator with extremely uniform UV illumination.

UVP Application Notes

The user-friendly VisionWorks software facilitates image capture, enhancement, analysis and report generation. Image analysis and quantitation capabilities include fast, accurate 1D lane analysis, protein quantitation, Western blot densitometry, area density, molecular weight calculations, colony counting, plant imaging, multiplex imaging and more. Create personalized, custom macros to automate routine, time consuming procedures and enable one-touch automation. Researchers can create user-defined templates to set and save specific darkroom and camera settings.

Since introducing one of the first BioImaging Systems in the 1980s, UVP has become a world leader in the development and manufacture of leading edge BioImaging Systems for Life Science applications and research. Hardware and software support is available from a world-wide network of BioImaging Specialists, Distribution Partners and Technical Support. Live, on-line technical assistance and training are available. UVP offers Installation Qualification (IQ) and Operational Qualification (OQ) documentation for on-site installation and operation of the BioSpectrum System that enable users to comply with regulatory requirements.

Optional equipment includes a Thermal Printer for economical, archive quality prints. Optional Gel Tools, useful for moving or cutting gels, include the fluorescing Gel Ruler. The optional BioLite™ Multispectral Light source with a wide range of filters is available for directed epi illumation excition of fluorescent multiplexed Western blots, DIGE 2D gels, PAGE gels, microplates and more. Add the VisionWorks 2D Analysis package for straightforward 2D analysis with simplicity, objectivity and fast analysis processing.
