A Comfortably More Ergonomic Stereo Microscope.
Sep 21 2007
Mantis is a revolutionary stereo microscope from Vision Biomed. The system employs patented optics which removes the need for the restrictive eyepieces of a conventional microscope plus adds the stability of a bench stand with ergonomic controls.
Every aspect of the Mantis has been designed with the operator in mind, from the patented eyepieceless viewing head down to the soft-touch, ergonomically positioned controls. The eyepieceless optics allows the operator to maintain an ergonomic working position, even for prolonged periods, maximising comfort, efficiency and productivity.
With conventional microscopes, two fixed eyepieces dictate where the operator puts their eyes and how they must hold their posture. The eyepieceless optics of Mantis allows a natural, upright body posture to be maintained at all times. Mantis also allows a much greater freedom of head movement than is usually associated with conventional eyepiece microscopes. The head can be moved in 3-axes, eliminating stiff necks and associated fatigue.
Mantis offers x2 x20 magnification range with superb hand-eye co-ordination for inspection and manipulation tasks and includes shadow-free LED illumination, both surface and substage, plus a wide range of accessories.
