Bringing science and technology to a wider audience at the British Science Festival is the message behind an Open Call, inviting academics, individuals and organisations for proposals that will help to build a vibrant programme for the event.

Taking place in Brighton from 5-9 September, the Festival will be co-hosted by the Universities of Brighton and Sussex, where thousands of people come together to celebrate the latest developments in science and to engage in open discussion about issues that affect our culture and society. Proposals should be aimed at non-specialist adults with a broad interest in science. Festival events will take place during the daytime on the university campuses, followed by events throughout the city each evening and all day Saturday 9 September. The deadline for submissions is 9am Monday 27 March 2017.
