CERN, based in Geneva Switzerland, spends in the region of £300M every year purchasing equipment and services. In addition to this, within the UK, many research groups are purchasing equipment for the CERN experiments. The Science and Technology Facilities council are organising this event to describe the UK involvement in the CERN experiments and the procurement opportunities. This meeting will provide:

  • An overview of the opportunities from ALICE, ATLAS, CMS and LHCb.
  • Details of upcoming requirements and upgrades of the experiments
  • Targeted one-to-one meetings between potential buyers and suppliers
  • Networking opportunities with experts working on the experiments from across the UK
