The 44th International Symposium on Capillary Chromatography (ISCC), the premier meeting for pressure- and electro-driven microcolumn separations and related techniques, will be held May 17–22, 2026, at the Congress Centre, Riva del Garda, Italy.
The congress invites analytical chemists, researchers, and industry professionals to explore cutting-edge research and collaborate on future directions in capillary-based separations. It offers a platform to share insights and foster new ideas in the field.
The program will include plenary lectures, keynote lectures by young scientists, prominently featured poster presentations, an instrument exhibition showcasing the latest instrumental innovations, and a highly attractive social program providing opportunities to meet world-renowned scientists.
The 21st GC×GC Symposium will be organized jointly with the ISCC meeting, allowing scientists to attend both events. The symposium will begin with a short course on Sunday, May 17, covering the fundamentals and applications of comprehensive GC×GC, followed by a plenary session on Monday, May 18. Keynote lectures and posters will also be included in the ISCC program.
This year, particular emphasis will be placed on comprehensive separation technologies, capillary GC, and nano- or capillary LC coupled with various forms of MS. The focus extends to miniaturized sample preparation, data analytics, and sustainable technologies.
Researchers in all areas relevant to the topics of the symposia are invited to submit abstracts. As is traditional for the Riva meetings, most presentations will be in poster format, and the scientific committee will select contributions for oral presentation.
Exhibitors and sponsors are encouraged to participate by reserving booth space and becoming sponsors.
Since its first edition in 1975 in Hindelang (Germany), the ISCC symposium series has established its reputation as a premier event for microcolumn separation techniques, including capillary gas chromatography (GC), microcolumn liquid chromatography (LC), and electromigration techniques.
Past meetings have been held in Riva del Garda (Italy), Monterey (California), Baltimore (Maryland), Gifu (Japan), Kobe (Japan), Wintergreen (Virginia), Park City (Utah), Las Vegas (Nevada), Dalian (China), Albuquerque (New Mexico), Portland (Oregon), San Diego (California), Palm Springs (California), and Fort Worth (Texas).
The format and atmosphere of the 44th meeting will follow those of previous events hosted in Riva del Garda in even-numbered years. The six-day conference will feature lectures and poster presentations from leading academic and industrial experts, highlighting the latest developments in miniaturized, hyphenated, and multidimensional separation techniques.
