Temperature control technology professional JULABO (Seelbach, Germany) has announced the acquisition of GAF (Gesellschaft für Automatisierungstechnik mbH Freiberg & Co. KG). As specialists in the automation of procedural processes as well as the aggregation of electrical and electronic signals for process control, the medium-sized company ideally complements the core competencies of JULABO.

"A major trend in many industries, including temperature control technology, is the increasing demand for customer-specific solutions," explains JULABO Managing Director Markus Juchheim. "The expertise and wide range of experience of our new colleagues at GAF will help us to meet the requirements of our global customers even better."

Founded in 1992 and located in Saxony, GAF currently employs 12 staff, who will continue to look after its established customer base and project orders. In addition, its existing business model will be expanded with a connection to the central JULABO site, enabling resulting synergies to be used and developed by both sides. The founder and previous Managing Director of GAF will actively support the structural integration and the necessary transfer of knowledge until his retirement in mid-2022.
