Korea’s largest supplier to the pathology market, SeongKohn Traders’ Corporation and Pixcelldata, the innovative Irish developer of digital pathology management and collaboration software, have announced a significant partnership to offer Pixcelldata technologies in the Korean pathology market.

SeongKohn Traders’ is the leading provider of automated instruments and consumables for cytology, histology and autopsy as well as forensic laboratories in Korea. The deal will see the Korean company market Pixcelldata’s Collibio software - an advanced web application for storing, managing, reviewing, and sharing digital pathology images and associated case data.

Collibio will be used to prepare proficiency tests and slide conferences for the Korean Society of Pathologists (KSP), the Korean Society for Cytopathologists (KSC) and their sub-study groups and regional meetings, as well as for veterinary and toxicology pathologists.

SeongKohn Traders’ has added a Digital Pathology Solution and Molecular Pathology Business Unit to its existing conventional pathology business units, making it the biggest supplier to the pathology laboratory market in Korea. The introduction of Collibio is further confirmation of their expansion and reinforcement of their leadership position in the market.
