A free, open event from the RMS celebrating the achievements, both in and due to, microscopy and cytometry.

Microscopy: Advances,Innovation,Impact is designed to highlight the latest frontiers in microscopy through a series of short presentations from field leaders, followed by a reception to allow further discussion and networking.

The impressive line-up of speakers is:

  • Professor Paul Midgley HonFRMS
  • Professor Barbara Bain HonFRMS
  • Professor Michelle Peckham
  • Professor Mervyn Miles
  • Professor Gail McConnell

Registration for this event is free but due to limited space at the venue, you will need tobook in advance. Following after this event is the European Researchers Night at the Natural History Museum in London, giving you a great chance to continue discussions and networking into the evening.

Microscopy has been described as being “the eyes of science”, and the importance of microscopy is underlined by the unprecedented levels of capital investment and research activity associated with microscopy.

This open event is designed to highlight the latest frontiers in microscopy through a series of short presentations from field leaders, followed by a reception to allow further discussion and networking.

The RMS Annual General Meeting, along with AGMs for Outreach & education, Electron Microscopy and Engineering and Physical Sciences Committees will be held on the morning of Friday 30th September, prior to the meeting.
