RMS to celebrate 50th Anniversary Meeting of the EM Section

The RMS will be celebrating the 50th anniversary meeting of its Electron Microscopy Section in a meeting to be held at the Rothamsted Research Centre in Harpenden.  The Scientific Organisers are Pippa Hawes, Paul Verkade and Smita Kurup. It will be immediately followed by the 1st EM-UK Facility Managers Meeting on Wednesday 13th January.

The anniversary will be a day to celebrate the huge advancements that have been made in electron microscopy over the past 50 years, and the many ways that the RMS Committee have helped make this possible. The meeting is provisionally scheduled to start at 11am with registration. The day will consist of presentations and an exhibition with a late afternoon reception in the exhibition, followed by an anniversary dinner at the Luton Hoo.

During the meeting Dr Mathieu Kociak will also be presented with the RMS Alan Agar Medal for Electron Microscopy.

Speakers will include Professor Peter Nellist, University of Oxford and Dr Mathieu Kociak, Université Paris Sud.
