Thailand Lab International Goes Hybrid with New Online Platform

Sep 02 2020

VNU Asia Pacific is celebrating the 10th Anniversary of Thailand Lab International on 28th to 30th of October 2020 at BITEC. The show continues to be a leading exhibition and conference on analytical laboratory technologies, life sciences and biotechnology innovations in Southeast Asia.

Thailand Lab International will launch the ‘Hybrid Edition’ for the first time to increase the accessibility of the trade fair to participants from across the globe. The show goes to the next level by extending business matching opportunities and access to conferences through a user-friendly online platform. The Thailand Center of Excellence for Life Sciences or TCELS will be the main co-host for organising ‘Bio Asia Pacific 2020’, a virtual conference themed on ‘Pandemic Resilience’ for this year, with important highlights to be broadcasted through an online platform, which will also be live at Thailand Lab International.

An open centre stage within the exhibition hall, ‘Bio Square’, will host the opening ceremony, thought leadership sessions, networking functions, start-up pitching and fireside chats.

A recent visitor survey found that 83% of participants intend to visit the physical exhibition and 77% of them will attend physical seminars and conferences. An outstanding 90% are most likely to engage in the online platform services that will be featured in the hybrid edition. Most importantly, the top purpose of their visit according to the survey results is to buy product and services.

Over 20 partners including government agencies, professional associations and research & academic institutes will support Thailand Lab International by holding their physical conferences and inviting their members/affiliates to visit the show.

The safety of all of trade participants and visitors will be paramount throughout the show. In close cooperation with BITEC, strict hygiene and security procedures will be implemented, such as mandatory usage of masks at all times, scanning of the Thai Chana QR code, the government mobile application to Check In/Out, and regular cleaning and sanitation of common areas. For security reasons, the capacity of the people per square meter will be monitored by heat maps installed in different areas.

VNU Asia Pacific believes that Thailand Lab International 2020 will drive growth to the Asian laboratory market, despite ongoing travel restrictions, through the hybrid platform. Pre-registration is now open.
