VALEGRO 250 expands JULABO's recirculating cooler series

With the VALEGRO 250, JULABO is expanding its recirculating cooler series with a solution for typical cooling tasks in the laboratory. As the successor to the proven F250 compact recirculating cooler, the new model combines space-saving dimensions with an expanded range of functions, modern operation, and a natural refrigerant.

Reliable temperature control is crucial in many laboratory processes for reproducible experimental and measurement results. Routine applications in particular require compact, easy-to-operate cooling solutions that can be flexibly integrated into existing working environments. The VALEGRO 250 is designed to meet these requirements and covers a working temperature range of −15 to +40 °C.

With a constant cooling capacity of 0.25 kW at 20 °C, the recirculating cooler is suitable, for example, for temperature control of small reaction vessels and measuring cells as well as for heat dissipation from laboratory lasers and compact analytical instruments. The adjustable pump allows the flow rate to be specifically adapted to the respective application and the connected external circuit. Compared with the previous model, this provides additional options for application-specific process control.

One of the key innovations compared with the F250 is the inclined OLED touch display characteristic of the VALEGRO series. The clearly structured menu navigation makes it easier to set and monitor the operating parameters. Functions such as the timer and filling level indicator support users with recurring workflows and when monitoring the temperature control circuit. The VALEGRO 250 also offers advantages over the previous model in terms of noise levels. The reduced sound pressure level contributes to a more pleasant working environment – particularly in laboratories where several devices are operated in parallel or where employees work in close proximity to the devices for extended periods.

USB and RS232 interfaces are available as standard for integration into laboratory and device systems. This allows the recirculating cooler to be controlled externally when required and integrated into automated and digitally supported workflows.

Another technical change compared with the F250 concerns the refrigeration circuit. Like all models in the VALEGRO series, the VALEGRO 250 uses a natural refrigerant with a very low Global Warming Potential (GWP). With its compact recirculating coolers, JULABO is therefore also relying on refrigeration technology that takes into account the increasing regulatory requirements for more climate-friendly refrigerants.

As the successor to the F250, the VALEGRO 250 combines compact dimensions with an expanded range of functions and an attractive price level, providing a cost-effective entry into the current generation of VALEGRO units.
