New Poc Glucose Analyser to Be Launched

Focus '07 will see the launch of the ?Glucose 201 RT', the first of HemoCue Ltd's latest generation of ?point-of-care' analysers. Utilising glucose cuvettes that are stored at room temperature and featuring an extended measuring range, the HemoCue Glucose 201 RT provides ?laboratory quality' results that you can depend on for improved patient management and safety.

With no need for refrigeration and a shelf life of 12 months, the Glucose 201 RT offers increased flexibility and can be used in any situation where immediate results are required, from routine screening to the ITU/SCBU where potentially life-critical glycaemic events can be closely monitored in ?real time'.

Also on show will be the Urine Albumin 201 analyser which provides fast, simple and accurate screening for microalbuminuria, helping laboratories and clinicians to comply with NSF and NICE guidelines to provide six monthly screening for all diabetic patients.

HemoCue offers sophisticated data management options to significantly improve the flow of information within the broader healthcare environment. Utlilising the new global CIC standard for POCT device communication, POCT1-A, its DM analysers manage and communicate results and QC data to local PC's and hospital/laboratory information systems.
