ELRIG, the UK-based, volunteer-led organisation serving over 22,000 life science professionals worldwide, has expanded its leadership team with the appointment of Dr Kelly Gray and Dr Elaine Duncan to its Board. The new members will lead the Scientific Programme and Early Career Professionals (ECP) Work Groups, respectively, as ELRIG drives forward initiatives to support innovation and talent in the global drug discovery community.
Dr Gray, an innovation leader with extensive experience in life sciences research and open innovation programmes at AstraZeneca, will chair the Scientific Programme Work Group. She will help shape ELRIG’s annual conference programme, identify priority scientific themes, and drive impactful collaborations across academia and industry.
Dr Duncan, a postdoctoral researcher at the University of Glasgow with a strong record in STEM outreach, will chair the Early Career Professionals Work Group. She will focus on expanding engagement for early-stage researchers, developing initiatives to support skill-building, networking, and career growth.

Both appointees are long-time supporters of ELRIG, with experience on the General Committee and prior leadership in programmes that foster collaboration, mentorship, and innovation. Their appointments reinforce ELRIG’s commitment to strengthening scientific excellence and nurturing the next generation of life science professionals.
