New technology that has been introduced by Topping Waters will give laboratories new options of tackling difficult analytical challenges through data management and workflow solutions.

The Acquity UPC System has been revealed along with NuGenesis 8 featuring LE (Laboratory Execution) Technologies, which looks to connect analytical laboratory data systems to business information technology systems. The new product line also houses over 200 pre-formulated reference materials and reagents for the scientific laboratory.

The new laboratory products will allow researchers more problem-solving capability, as well as improved efficiency, and certifiable data quality. Art Caputo, President of the Waters Division said: "The launch of UPC(2), NuGenesis 8 and our new line of analytical standards and reagents make this year's Pittcon one of the most exciting in years for us."

The new system will push the boundaries of reversed phase liquid chromatography (LC) and of gas chromatography (GC) separations.  The novel system successfully analysed compounds such as hydrophobic and chiral compounds, lipids, thermally-labile samples and polymers.
