Expanded Range With New Tricor Coriolis Meters

UK flowmeter specialist Litre Meter has expanded its range of metering options with coriolis flowmeters from US-based manufacturer Tricor Coriolis meters are employed in a wide range of applications worldwide in the oil and gas, petrochemical, food and beverage and life sciences sectors. Litre Meter is now able to supply the full Tricor
range of coriolis instruments to its UK customers. The meters offer a measuring accuracy of between+/- 0.10% and +/- 0.50%, even in long term operation and across a temperature range from -100 to +150°C depending on the meter selected. The mass flow rates that can be measured range between 300 kg/hr and 65,000 kg/hr while the volumetric flow range which can be measured is between 300 l/pm and 65,000 l/pm. Tricor coriolis meters are pressure rated up to 350 bar. Coriolis technology works by passing a fluid towards (and away from) a centre of rotation through vibrating tubes. The force of the fluid passing through the tube causes twist which is proportional to the mass flow rate of the fluid passing through them. Sensors and coriolis mass flowmeter transmitters are used to measure the twist and generate a linear flow signal. The Tricor product line complements the range of flowmeters built by Litre Meter in its own premises in Buckingham. The company offers a broad range of metering technologies suitable for virtually every liquid, gas or steam measurement application and has particular expertise in measuring low flow rates.
