Innovation in Platelet-Related Testing

Stago offers a range of platelet-related assays under the BioCytex brand. The most widely recognised test in the BioCytex range is the Platelet VASP/P2Y12 assay. This dual colour flow cytometry test is designed to allow easy determination of platelet susceptibility to various P2Y12 inhibitors, such as thienopyridines. It is intended for use in both diagnostic and research applications, leading to faster clinical decision making and aiding the development of new anti-P2Y12 drugs and dosing strategies to prevent pathological thrombotic events. This is complemented by the Platelet GP/Receptors kit for precise quantitation of platelet glycoprotein abnormalities (GpIIb, GpIba and GMP140), allowing rapid diagnosis of constitutive thrombopathies such as Glanzmann's thrombasthenia.
