New filling line enhances speed and sterility in liquid pharmaceuticals

11 Jul, 2025

Syntegon has introduced the SynTiso line, a new fully automated filling line concept designed to meet the evolving demands of liquid pharmaceutical production. Developed in close collaboration with industry partners, the SynTiso line delivers high output, enhanced sterility, and minimal operator intervention - aligning with the latest Annex 1 requirements.

With contactless, suspended container transport and gloveless isolator technology, the system minimises particle generation and reduces contamination risks. Robots are positioned outside critical zones, preserving First Air flow and further improving aseptic conditions. Real-time germ and particle monitoring replaces traditional settle plates, streamlining compliance and safety.

The line can process up to 600 syringes, vials, or cartridges per minute, achieving one of the highest throughput rates in the market. With 100% in-process control and up to 50% faster batch changeovers, it supports faster, cleaner operations - particularly beneficial for vaccine production and the growing use of ready-to-use (RTU) containers.

Compact, high-performing, and designed for flexibility, Syntegon’s new system marks a major step toward more agile and efficient liquid handling in pharmaceutical environments.
