RF-6000

By combining new technologies with those cultivated over Shimadzu’s long history, the Shimadzu spectrofluorophotometer has been reborn as the RF-6000. Combined with new LabSolutions RF software, designed for unrivalled measurement accuracy and easy operation, the RF-6000 offers the ultimate performance for a diverse range of customers’ measurement needs.

UV-VIS-NIR Solutions

Shimadzu has been developing UV-Vis spectrophotometers for 60 years, and continues to manufacture instruments that meet scientists’ needs for ruggedness, ease of use, validation and applications. Our current lineup features the general, all-purpose UV-1800 with best-in-class resolution (1nm) and built-in biological software, introductory research-grade UV-2600

with an extended range to 1400nm, and the double monochromator UV-2700 which is capable of high Abs measurements. These compact systems are equipped with proprietary Lo-Ray-Ligh gratings, offer USB connectivity, and come with the full-featured UVProbe software. The research-grade UV-Vis-NIR systems, UV-3600 Plus and SolidSpec-3700, incorporate three

detectors, which help to achieve excellent sensitivity during transmittance and reflectance, even in the switchover range, while significantly reducing noise. Additional models include the versatile single-beam UV-1280.

EDX-7000/8000

Shimadzu’s EDX-7000/8000 is the perfect tool for inorganic/elemental analysis. With minimal sample preparation it is possible to screen the elements present in a solid or liquid sample from the elements Carbon through to Uranium. This instrument is used to determine the elemental composition of soil, cement, ash and rocks/archaeological samples. The importance of EDXRF as a screening tool for impurities in the pharmaceutical market is growing and Shimadzu have developed FDA 21 CFR part 11 software to allow our customers to meet the compliance necessary for this market. Shimadzu have also developed a robust solution for manufacturers who need to comply with ROHS regulations.

FTIR solutions

Shimadzu has released a variety of FTIR systems boasting high resolution and high sensitivity and a variety of associated instruments, such as an infrared microscope unit, to facilitate automation. These are utilized in a wide range of structural analysis or non-destructive measurement applications, such as to qualify the location of defects on IC chips and other small parts in electronics, electrical, and semiconductor industries, to qualify pharmaceuticals based upon Pharmacopoeia standard methods, to identify vehicles from paint fragments left at crime scenes, or to verify starting materials on beads as a pre-synthesis study in combinatorial chemistry.

Complete Connectivity

All the above products can be connected to Shimadzu’s LabSolutions Client Server Software. LabSolutions features an innovative operating environment and provides complete data management to ensure secure information in networked laboratories using Shimadzu Chromatography and/or Spectroscopy equipment.
