BioMed X has launched a global call for research proposals in neuroimmunology, supported by Biogen, to explore how neural circuits regulate immune function and contribute to autoimmune disease.
The initiative aims to advance understanding of the central nervous system–immune axis, an emerging area of biology where bidirectional communication is known to influence autoimmune and inflammatory conditions, but remains incompletely understood.
Researchers are invited to propose experimental and computational approaches that combine neuroscience, immunology, advanced technologies, and in-silico modelling to identify new therapeutic targets.
Selected applicants will attend a five-day innovation boot camp at the BioMed X Institute in New Haven, Connecticut, from 19–23 October 2026. Following evaluation, BioMed X plans to establish a new research team to develop the most promising concepts.
BioMed X has also appointed Dr Bahareh Eftekharzadeh as VP, Head of Business Development and Head of Research USA, overseeing its US sites and research collaborations.
Proposals can be submitted via the BioMed X Career Space by 16 August 2026.
