BioTek Instruments continues to strengthen their commitment to sustainability by announcing the opening of their second solar facility. In addition to the company’s existing 500 kilowatt solar farm in Whiting, Vermont, a new, 88 kilowatt photovoltaic solar energy farm is now on line in Milton, Vermont. The new facility was developed in agreement with ABJ Property Management, LLC, and installed by Norris Brothers Solar Development, LLC.

The additional renewable energy will provide power to BioTek’s new 22,000 ft2 facility expansion and is expected to offset 100% of the company’s annual electricity costs well into the future. BioTek’s Vice President, Adam Alpert noted: “The new solar farm is a continuation of our existing company-wide programs promoting energy conservation, recycling, and environmental protection. This new initiative is a testament to our passion and commitment towards clean energy and a greener tomorrow. By acting locally, I’m proud to know that we are contributing towards the bigger goal; a cleaner environment around the world.”
