Dr G. Ramakrishnan was presented with the ‘Indian Society of Analytical Scientists (ISAS) Lifetime Achievement Award’, recently during the Indian Analytical Science Congress-2018 held at Kumarakom, Kerala from 8-10 February 2018. This award was bestowed to mark Dr Ramakrishnan’s contributions in promoting advancement of science and technology, especially in the area of education in chromatography and spectroscopy through Chromatographic Society of India and SIES Institute of Chromatography and Spectroscopy over the past several years. Dr G. Ramakrishnan is the President of the Chromatographic Society of India and Honorary Director of SIES Institute of Chromatography and Spectroscopy.

The ISAS Lifetime Achievement Award was presented by Dr U. Kamachi Mudali, Chairman and Chief Executive of Heavy Water Board, Department of Atomic Energy, Government of India. ISAS is one of the oldest professional scientific organisations in India established in 1983 and has several state chapters and a few thousand life members.
