Edinburgh Instruments Limited, one of the UK’s leading manufacturers of high-end photonic and electro-optical scientific instrumentation, has been listed in The Sunday Times Hiscox Tech Track 100 for the first time.

Edinburgh Instruments is one of five ‘Ones to Recognise’ businesses ranked by the Tech Track 100 enabling the company to sit amongst some of the most dynamic growth businesses in the country. The acclaimed league table recognises the fastest growing private technology, media and telecoms companies in the UK.

Now in its twelfth year, The Sunday Times Hiscox Tech Track 100 league table (compiled by Fast Track) ranks Britain’s 100 private tech (TMT) companies with the fastest-growing sales growth over the last three years. In order to qualify companies need to be unquoted, independent and registered in Britain.

Alan Faichney, CEO of Edinburgh Instruments comments, “Being listed as one of the ones to recognise in the Tech Track 100 is a tremendous achievement for Edinburgh Instruments and underpins our position as one of the UK’s most prominent scientific instrumentation manufacturers. I would especially like to thank our hardworking team, loyal business partners and global customer base for their tremendous support in contributing to our success. “

He continues, “2012 has been a landmark year for Edinburgh Instruments in which we also won the Queen’s Award for Enterprise – International Trade, one of the most coveted awards in UK industry and so being additionally recognised by the prestigious Sunday Times Hiscox Tech Track 100 has made this one of the most memorable years in our 40 year existence.”
