Drug Discovery 2021 returns live in the North West

Drug Discovery 2021, organised by The European Laboratory Research & Innovation Group (ELRIG) UK is to host SLAS’s Innovation AveNEW, a showcase platform for emerging companies and innovations as part of its programme of events being held at The Exhibition Centre ACC Liverpool, Oct 19-20.

ELRIG UK’s Drug Discovery, returning as a face-to-face meeting place, will address key issues and future directions in preclinical drug discovery. Expecting to attract over 1000 delegates, there will also be exhibitions from 100 vendors and the organisers have implemented actions to ensure a COVID-safe environment for attendees. Networking opportunities will be available to bring together academic and biopharma industry thought-leaders, as well as early career professionals.

The conference programme includes insightful sessions on new approaches in infection biology diseases, advances in biomarkers and diagnostics, approaches to drugging RNA, innovative screening and strategies to enhance drug discovery, disruptive technologies, Alzheimer’s disease and other dementias as well as leading research from the British Pharmacological Society.

The Society for Laboratory Automation and Screening (SLAS), a US-based organisation dedicated to advancing discovery, technology and collaboration in life sciences, is awarding free-of-charge exhibition space, travel and hotel accommodations and access to a network of potential business partners, life science researchers and purchasing decision-makers. Selected companies will also have the opportunity to participate in the recording of an SLAS New Matter podcast and an entrepreneurial workshop. The top ranked applicant will receive an opportunity to attend the SLAS Conference & Exhibition in Boston (5–9 February 2022) or in Dublin (24–27 May 2022).
