Gilson Officially Opens Its New World Class UK Centre Of Excellence Facility

Gilson officially opened its new world-class, purpose built UK Centre of Excellence in Dunstable on 21 September 2017. At an exclusive Grand Opening Ceremony, Andrew Selous, MP for South West Bedfordshire and Peter Tudor, Gilson European Director, officially unveil the new building.
Gilson’s continued growth within the UK and commitment to excellence has fueled their demand and need to relocate to a larger and more modern premises. Formally housed at Charles Street in Luton for over thirty years, this new state of the art facility has been home to Gilson’s UK team of liquid handling experts and customer support since April 2017. Their new UKAS Accredited Pipette Service Centre provides unrivalled support and maintenance for all makes of pipettes, not only Gilson’s prestigious PIPETMAN brand. The building also features new application development laboratories and a larger, more streamline distribution centre, enabling Gilson to provide enhanced technical and customer support.
“This investment reinforces our commitment to science and provides the means necessary to support our continued growth within the UK and Europe,” said Peter Tudor, European Director of Gilson. “Our mission is to partner with the scientific community and help researchers advance the pace of discovery. We do this by creating laboratory tools that improve the results of tomorrow and a solid infrastructure through our global Centres of Excellence that enables us to distribute our solutions and provide the best technical support and services possible. Our new, modern facility compliments the recent evolution of our corporate branding, which is aligned to the company’s path and vision to enable verifiable science and making lab life easier for researchers."
The event was celebrated during a champagne reception attended by Gilson’s key customers, partners and members of the business community.
