Hamamatsu Announces the Completion of a New Facility for Expanded PMT Manufacturing and R&D

Hamamatsu Photonics KK has announced the completion of the new Building No. 10 at the primary manufacturing site of its Electron Tube Division. The new building will serve to expand the division’s PMT (photomultiplier tube) manufacturing capabilities, as well as improve its efforts into developing new PMTs. Operations at the new building are scheduled to begin in August 2015.

Building No. 10 is located on land developed in the north sector of the Toyooka Factory in Iwata City, Shizuoka Prefecture. A dedication ceremony for the new building was held on the 15th May 2015.
