The Japan Analytical Instruments Exhibition (JASIS 2019) took place at Makuhari Messe, in the Chiba prefecture near Tokyo from 4-6 September 2019. This popular event is organised jointly between the Japan Analytical Instruments Association (JAIMA) and the Japan Scientific Instruments Association (JSIA). The exhibition introduced cutting-edge analytical and scientific equipment, related products, technologies and solutions. Covering 34,141 m2 floor space, JASIS 2019 was a truly global event and welcomed 23,409 attendees and 478 exhibitors, making it one of the largest exhibitions in Asia.

Running alongside the exhibition, many seminars and forums, covering a wide range of topics, were available for attendees. The JAIMA seminars featured an introductory course on analytical instruments and the New Technology seminars featured the latest exhibitor equipment and technology. International conferences included the Royal Society of Chemistry-Tokyo International Conference (RSC-TIC), the Asia Technical Forum and the China Forum. Visitors were advised to arrive early as many of the seminars and forums were full to capacity and very well received.

As the Tokyo Olympics will be taking place in Japan next year, JASIS 2020 will be held from 11th to 13th November.
