Microtrac is pleased to announce the opening of its new European headquarters based in Krefeld, Germany.  To coincide with the opening, Microtrac established Microtrac GmbH on 3 February, 2015.

“We felt that Krefeld was the ideal destination for our European headquarters because of the close proximity to airports, major roadways, and the Deutsche Bahn,” said Paul Cloake, Microtrac’s President. “Not only can we continue to provide exemplary support to our customers, but also this will be the key first step to expanding our reach in Europe’s growing material science community.”

Microtrac GmbH will be home to EMEA sales and customer support, with additional offerings being planned for launch later in the year.

Research and quality control departments that are responsible for the manufacture of dry powders and wet suspensions have been relying on Microtrac’s Laser Diffraction and Dynamic Light Scattering instrumentation to accurately measure the particle size distributions of their products since 1974.  With the acquisition of AnaTec AS of Norway in 2013, Microtrac bolstered it’s portfolio of instruments by being able to offer lab and online 3D particle size and morphology analysers that are used for identifying process swings in real time.  Microtrac’s wide range of precise, reliable, and accurate particle characterisation systems can measure materials that range in size from 0.8 nanometers to 127 millimeters.

Located in a historic, freshly renovated building, Microtrac GmbH calls Campus Fichtenhain 42 D-47807 in Krefeld home.  Customers and prospective customers who are interested in seeing the new location are encouraged to schedule a tour by visiting Microtrac.com/contact-us.
