MRI Technology Scoops Southern Award.

MR Solutions’ liquid helium free preclinical MRI imaging technology won the Digital Engineering/Technology Award at the Made in the South East Awards evening held at the Hilton Hotel Gatwick at the end of November. These prestigious awards are open to manufacturing companies across the south east with the finalists automatically shortlisted for the national Made in the UK 2020 awards.

The Guildford-based company offers preclinical MRI imaging systems from 3T to 9.4T which do not require liquid helium, thus can be wheeled into a laboratory when needed.

The Award for Digital Engineering/Technology is presented to companies that have best used or developed software, technology or technical processes to solve problems or add value for customers. This could include engineering, manufacturing and smart factory systems.

Nicky Doughty, CEO, at MR Solutions and colleagues Peter Doughty, Katie Tre-Vett and Ed Moss, were presented with the award by John Stevenson, head of manufacturing, EMC which sponsored the award. Nicky said: “We are honoured to receive this award and the recognition which goes with it. My team has worked hard to develop a liquid helium free preclinical MRI imaging system with multi-modality capability for the best imaging results.”
