Integration brings Expanded Network Support to Users

Molecular genetics company Oxford Gene Technology (OGT) has announced the direct marketing of Cytocell Fluorescence In Situ Hybridisation (FISH) products through several established affiliates of Sysmex Corporation in Europe, following its acquisition and ongoing successful integration into the group last year. Cytocell customers in Poland, Czechia and Slovakia were able to access the increased sales and support infrastructure from early May, with the service opening up to users in France, Belgium, Switzerland and Luxembourg since the beginning of July.

Since the acquisition of OGT by Sysmex, the companies have been working hard to develop both commercial and product synergies across their portfolios with a strong focus on growth in molecular diagnostics. OGT is also collaborating with Sysmex to develop an automated FISH testing system, combining OGT’s FISH reagent expertise with Sysmex’s instrumentation technology.

OGT anticipates it will also sell its CytoSure™ microarray and SureSeq™ next generation sequencing (NGS) product portfolio through Sysmex in the near future
