The RMS International Scientific Imaging Competition 2021 is now open for entries showcasing the very best in microscopy and imaging.

As with previous competitions, a gallery of shortlisted images will be displayed and judged as part of the Microscience Microscopy Congress (mmc) 2021, taking place as an online event from 5 – 9 July.

The competition is open to images in both life and materials science, captured by a huge range of microscopical techniques. A regular fixture of major RMS events since 1958, the competition features some of the finest examples of scientific imaging and artistic flair from right across the many fields of microscopy.

This year, the categories are as follows:

Electron Microscopy - Life Sciences

Electron Microscopy - Physical Sciences

Light Microscopy - Life Sciences

Light Microscopy - Physical Sciences

AFM and Scanning Probe Microscopies

Short Video

Other

If you have a striking image (or images) of which you are proud, and would like to take the opportunity to share your work with delegates at mmc2021, please submit your entry(ies) online by 10 May 2021.
