Building on its steady business growth during the last thirty-five years, Snijders Group celebrated 2011 with the opening of Snijders Sarl France in Guignes - the first company to be located outside of the Netherlands for the organisation.

With a history dating back to the 1970’s, when Snijders Metaalwaren fabriek founded by brothers Piet and Willem Snijders began producing internal transport systems for hospitals, the Scientific Business Unit has since become established as a manufacturer and supplier of Ultra Low Temperature freezers (-86°C). This delivery range expanded fast for Snijders Scientific during the 1980’s with cooled incubators (for both food and microbiology laboratories), climate cabinets and rooms (for plant growth) and in 2011 the latest Evosafe-series which offers online solutions.

Operating from two locations in Tilburg, with Group headquarters, production facility, sales operations grouped together, a new building on the near-by second site houses a special showroom for the laboratory equipment, OA test facilities, a technical and commercial training centre and the Cryotheque® biobank facility for external storage at -86˚C of biomedical materials for pharmacy and academic institutes.

Production capacity has grown to 10.000 m2 and incorporates high technology welding robots, a CNC controlled and C6 revolving punch press, an automatic powder epoxy coating installation and a glass pearl steel cabin. Employing about 65 people and with a turnover of 16 milion euros, Snijders Scientific is exporting to over 25 European countries through an exclusive distributor and service network. The Snijders Hammerlit Group, a leading manufacturer and supplier of logistic solutions for the healthcare industry including patient care is a part of the same organisation.

“A robust investment policy mainly aiming at new high-end technologies enables Snijders to maintain a leading edge in terms of production and design. The unique and close working relationship with our end-users and a worldwide distributor network, highly contributes to a practical know-how, support and development to secure future growth and opportunities,” said

Patrick Snijders,Sales Director and co-Owner of Snijders Scientific.
