Veolia Water Technologies UK (VWT UK) has renewed its two-year contract with the NHSSC Framework Agreement for Renal Replacement Therapy. As the only dedicated water treatment provider, VWT UK renal services and products will be listed on the framework, an online database allowing NHS hospitals to purchase consumables and capital equipment such as dialysis machines and water treatment plant.

Renal replacement therapies are used within secondary care and within patient homes to support renal function through dialysis or continuous renal replacement therapy (CRRT). The NHSSC Framework Agreement for Renal Replacement Therapy includes chronic dialysis equipment, supplies and services, as well as equipment for acute renal care. Currently available on the framework from VWT UK are dialysis quality water treatment systems, certified for use with renal dialysis machines. The use of such systems is essential in the delivery of safe and efficient dialysis for patients.

To support this critical patient application VWT UK also offers its customers a comprehensive range of water technology and water management services. From plant refurbishment and mobile dialysis water treatment services to its customer portal AQUAVISTA™ (part of Hubgrade) for remote monitoring, VWT caters to a variety of healthcare needs. These services have been created to maximise capacity, increase system uptime and most importantly, maintain compliance and quantity requirements.

Kalpesh Shah, Head of Sales, at VWT UK said: “Within the NHSSC Framework, we are the only dedicated water treatment provider and service specialist. This means that we alone have a sole focus on water treatment technologies and the knowledge to cater to a wide range of requirements. This includes the capability to help hospitals design centralised and compliant purified water treatment systems.”
