Multi-position hot plates for high-temperature stirring

Torrey Pines Scientific has introduced a new range of corrosion-resistant multi-position stirring hot plates designed for demanding laboratory applications involving corrosive and high-temperature chemistry.

The systems feature 5- or 9-position configurations, enabling simultaneous stirring of multiple samples, and are intended for use in applications such as acid digestions and work with corrosive solutions.

Each unit is equipped with a 12-inch ceramic heater top offering temperatures up to 450°C. A rear purge port allows inert gas flow to protect internal components from corrosive vapours, while sealed chassis openings help prevent contamination and extend instrument life.

Stirring speeds range from 100 to 1500 rpm, with each position independently controlled. The 5-position model accommodates up to 800 ml vessels, while the 9-position version supports up to 500 ml per position. The units are also designed to support heavy loads on the heating surface and include safety-focused controls positioned away from heat zones.

The systems are supplied with multi-voltage compatibility, safety certification and full operating documentation.
