Torrey Pines Scientific, Inc announces the EchoTherm™ HS70, a digital stirring hot plate engineered for labs that demand precision, durability, and automation. Its corrosion-resistant design features a purge port that allows inert gases, like lab air, to flow through the chassis. This positive pressure prevents corrosive vapours from entering the unit, significantly extending its operational life and reliability.
The HS70 offers both manual and programmable operation. In manual mode, users simply select the desired parameter and scroll to the value - letting the hot plate manage the rest. In programmable mode, routines can be stored for instant recall and run automatically, step by step, ensuring experiments are executed exactly as designed every time. Programs can include multiple temperature settings, ramp rates, stirring speeds, and timed events, offering complete walk-away automation for complex workflows.
Built for performance, the HS70 includes an 8-inch ceramic heater top that heats quickly while remaining chemically resistant, and a platinum RTD sensor delivering ±1% temperature accuracy. Temperatures can be set up to 450°C in 1°C increments, with precise ramping and PID control on either the plate surface or with a probe. Stirring capabilities cover 2 litres of aqueous solution at 100–1500 rpm, while a 99-hour timer with Auto-Off function adds convenience and safety.
The HS70 also supports data recording and automation through its RS232 interface, and features a ¼” purge gas fitting on the rear of the chassis. Other highlights include Quick electronic calibration stored in CMOS, ETL, CSA, and CE compliance, and a 12-month warranty. With its programmable flexibility, robust corrosion protection, and precise temperature and stirring control, the EchoTherm™ HS70 is ideal for labs tackling complex, repetitive, or corrosive workflows.
