Precision chilling/heating dry bath for robotic workflows

16 Oct, 2025

Torrey Pines Scientific has unveiled the EchoTherm™ RIC40, a compact, Peltier-driven dry bath engineered for seamless integration with robotic laboratory systems. The RIC40 delivers precise chilling and heating with a temperature range from 0.0°C to 100.0°C, easily controlled via the RS232 I/O port on each unit.

Measuring just 4.9” (125 mm) long × 3.3” (82 mm) wide × 3.9” (99 mm) tall (without a sample block), the RIC40 is ideal for labs with limited bench space. Optional accessories include mounting brackets for Tecan decks and a wide range of precision aluminium sample blocks to suit diverse experimental needs.

Temperature settings can be adjusted in 0.1°C increments, with stability and accuracy maintained at ±0.2°C. Each RIC40 comes fully equipped with a chiller/heater module, universal power supply, country-specific AC line cord, RS232 interconnect cable, and detailed instructions including the Serial Command Set. All units are ETL, CSA, and CE certified.
