Vibration-free incubators for protein crystallography

10 Oct, 2025

Torrey Pines Scientific has launched its EchoTherm Stackable Chilling Incubators, designed for precise temperature control in protein crystallography and other sensitive life science applications.

These 27 litre Peltier-based incubators provide heating and cooling without compressors or CFCs, ensuring vibration-free operation - critical for crystal growth experiments. Temperatures range from 4.0°C to 70.0°C, adjustable in 0.1°C increments and accurate to ±0.2°C, with programmable ramping for precise thermal control. The fully programmable IN35 model can store up to three custom programs and features digital timers, audible alarms, and RS232 connectivity for remote control and data logging.

Stackable design allows up to three units to be combined using optional stacker accessories, saving valuable lab space while maintaining independent program control for each incubator. Stainless steel racks and a chamber footprint of 12” × 10” × 14” accommodate a range of lab samples, including enzymes, hybridisation assays, marine specimens, oocytes, and more.

Universally powered for global use, the EchoTherm units are shipped with user manuals and come with a 12-month warranty. Safety and compliance are assured with ETL, CSA, and CE certifications.

These stackable, programmable incubators offer labs a flexible, reliable, and precise solution for temperature-sensitive experiments - especially where vibration-free conditions are essential.
